What is a Shipbroker? Shipbrokers are the middlemen and middlewomen who make shipping happen. They negotiate deals between Shipowners and the Charterers or Buyers and Sellers who arrange the movement of goods and products and between the Buyers and Sellers of ships.

It is a job that demands self discipline, perseverance, self-starting, responsibility and accountability. It is more of a lifestyle than just a job as you are always a phone call away from a good fixture.

Currently we are looking for talented, experienced dry bulk broker(s) with an existing client support. you will be able to hit the water swimming and confident to generate fixtures.

We are not looking for remote workers, as we are looking to building a nice team in Sopot, The San Marino of the Baltic sea. A place with a great night life, amazing seasons and fantastic sailing opportunities. Therefore it is important that you are willing to relocate to the Tri-City area (Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot).

Remote work under different conditions might be considered for candidates already established in Singapore / Dubai / Shanghai and looking for a change.

Requirements

  • EU, UK or USA passport as you need the right to work and live in Poland
  • Client management/relationship building skills.
  • Well versed in knowing the business of your clients
  • Having an entrepreneurial nature is must-have along with a strong personal drive to succeed.
  • Ability to negotiate and not let go are vital as this is a principle skill requirement in Ship Brokering.
  • Good understanding of voyage calculation, accounting and numeracy skills are essential to this job.
  • Excellent presentation skills will be required.
  • A Ship Broker must be able to communicate well both verbally as well as in a written format in English.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office, ie Word, Excel.
